A straightforward five-step system built to fit the workflow of any garage or automotive business. No tuning knowledge required at any stage.
The same process applies to every job. Once you have done it once, you can do it a hundred times. That is by design.
Watch the workflow before you read it. If you can operate a tuning tool, you can do this.
Using your compatible reading tool, connect to the vehicle via the OBD port or directly to the ECU and read the original file. This takes a few minutes and requires no specialist knowledge beyond operating your tuning tool. The vehicle stays untouched — you are only reading data.
Log into your secure Platinum Tune dealer portal and create a new job. Upload the file, select the service required — Stage 1, Stage 2, DPF, TCU, or other — add any relevant notes about the vehicle or customer requirements, and submit. The upload takes minutes from any device.
Our team receives your submission and develops the tuned solution. Standard Stage 1 jobs are typically completed fast so you are not left waiting with a vehicle on the ramp. You will receive a notification as soon as your file is ready. For complex services, any questions or clarifications are handled through the portal.
Once notified, log in to your portal and download the completed tuned file. Use the same reading tool you used in Step 1 to write the file back to the vehicle's ECU or TCU. The write-back process takes a similar amount of time to the initial read. The vehicle is now remapped and ready for your customer.
Complete the job, verify the vehicle starts and drives correctly, and hand it back to your customer. You charge your customer your own retail rate — typically £200 to £400 for a Stage 1 remap — pay the per-file fee to Platinum Tune, and keep every pound of the difference. That margin is yours, on every single job.
No guesswork. This is the exact system you log into to submit jobs, track progress, and download your completed files.
Upload a file, pick the service, submit. If you can send an email, you can use the portal.

The barrier to entry is lower than most garages expect. If you already do diagnostics, you may already have what you need.
You need an ECU or TCU reading and writing tool that is compatible with the vehicles you plan to tune. Many garages already own one for diagnostics. Common compatible tools include:
No tuning knowledge. No specialist staff. No new premises. No minimum commitment before you start.
The process is designed to be run by a garage owner, mobile mechanic, or technician with no background in file development. You do not need to understand how tuning files work — only how to read and write them with your tool.
The technical work — the actual calibration — is handled by our team every time you submit a job.
No subscription. No retainer. No upfront investment. The model is designed to be zero-risk to start and scalable as your volume grows.
Especially in the early stages, we provide guidance through your first jobs so the process feels clear and manageable from day one.
We walk you through your initial submissions step by step — from reading the file to writing it back. You will not be left to figure out a new process on your own.
Questions answered quickly. We understand your customer is waiting and that speed matters from the point of job submission to file delivery.
The dealer portal is designed to be straightforward for busy garages — not built for tuning engineers. Submitting a job takes minutes, not half an hour.
Whether you have one tuning job per month or thirty, the support level is the same. We want every dealer in the network to be confident and to be building recurring revenue from tuning — not to be worried about it.
The process is simple. The support is there. The only step left is applying to become a dealer and getting set up.
